- The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does; likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.
- For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
- Surely he has borne our infirmities
and carried our diseases;
yet we accounted him stricken,
struck down by God, and afflicted. - The spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
because the Lord has anointed me;
he has sent me to bring good news to the oppressed,
to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and release to the prisoners. - Only fear the Lord, and serve him faithfully with all your heart; for consider what great things he has done for you.
- And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you.
- Who has performed and done this,
calling the generations from the beginning?
I, the Lord, am first,
and will be with the last. - These things God has revealed to us through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.
- The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because he has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to let the oppressed go free. - When you realize your guilt in any of these, you shall confess the sin that you have committed.
- When you make a vow to God, do not delay fulfilling it; for he has no pleasure in fools. Fulfill what you vow.
- For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
- So that, just as sin exercised dominion in death, so grace might also exercise dominion through justification leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
- But the scripture has imprisoned all things under the power of sin, so that what was promised through faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
- I will greatly rejoice in the Lord,
my whole being shall exult in my God;
for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation,
he has covered me with the robe of righteousness,
as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland,
and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. - For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life.
- I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work among you will bring it to completion by the day of Jesus Christ.
- There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear; for fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not reached perfection in love.
- If we diligently observe this entire commandment before the Lord our God, as he has commanded us, we will be in the right.
- So we have known and believe the love that God has for us.
God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them. - And whoever does not provide for relatives, and especially for family members, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
- For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.
- Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith has made you well.” Immediately he regained his sight and followed him on the way.
- Those who eat must not despise those who abstain, and those who abstain must not pass judgment on those who eat; for God has welcomed them.
- And now I am about to go the way of all the earth, and you know in your hearts and souls, all of you, that not one thing has failed of all the good things that the Lord your God promised concerning you; all have come to pass for you, not one of them has failed.
