- The Lord is my portion, saith my soul;
therefore will I hope in him. - But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
- For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
- Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
- The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants:
and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate. - O taste and see that the Lord is good:
blessed is the man that trusteth in him. - Blessed are they that keep his testimonies,
and that seek him with the whole heart. - Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
- Every word of God is pure:
he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. - But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
- Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
- And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him.
- Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.
- But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.
- Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
- He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
- Like as a father pitieth his children,
so the Lord pitieth them that fear him. - Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
- He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.
- Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him,
upon them that hope in his mercy. - Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.
- And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.
- The Lord is good,
a strong hold in the day of trouble;
and he knoweth them that trust in him. - For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.
- If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him:
but the just shall live by his faith.
