Him37paul (4/4)

  • Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
  • Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth.
  • If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
  • If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
  • Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
  • Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
  • But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out: For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.
  • For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake.
  • For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.
  • And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
  • And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
  • For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
  • And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
  • And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
  • As for God, his way is perfect:
    the word of the Lord is tried:
    he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.
  • He is despised and rejected of men;
    a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief:
    and we hid as it were our faces from him;
    he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
  • For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.
  • As for God, his way is perfect;
    the word of the Lord is tried:
    he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.
  • That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.
  • For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
  • Sing unto God, sing praises to his name:
    extol him that rideth upon the heavens
    by his name Jah, and rejoice before him.
    A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows,
    is God in his holy habitation.
  • And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.
  • Surely he hath borne our griefs,
    and carried our sorrows:
    yet we did esteem him stricken,
    smitten of God, and afflicted.
  • For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
  • Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.

Yea, though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me;
thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
