- “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“Therefore I hope in Him!” - But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
- For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”
- God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.
- The Lord redeems the soul of His servants,
And none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned. - Blessed are those who keep His testimonies,
Who seek Him with the whole heart! - Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good;
Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! - Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
- Every word of God is pure;
He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. - But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.
- Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?”
Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.” - And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him.
- Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church.
- He answered and said to them, “He who has two tunics, let him give to him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise.”
- He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.
- But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.
- As a father pities his children,
So the Lord pities those who fear Him. - Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him,
On those who hope in His mercy. - By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.
- Therefore you shall keep the commandments of the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to fear Him.
- Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.
- The Lord is good,
A stronghold in the day of trouble;
And He knows those who trust in Him. - If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.
- For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.
- Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.”Eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality.
