| The Lord is slow to anger and great in power, And the Lord will by no means leave the guilty unpunished. In the gale and the storm is His way, And clouds are the dust beneath His feet. | The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the Lord hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet. |
| Consequently, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God. For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His. | There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. |

| With his mouth the godless person destroys his neighbor, But through knowledge the righteous will be rescued. | An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered. |
| The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, And His ears are toward their cry for help. | The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry. |
| But the tax collector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to raise his eyes toward heaven, but was beating his chest, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, the sinner!’ | And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. |
| But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you. | But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. |
| One who walks with integrity, practices righteousness, And speaks truth in his heart. He does not slander with his tongue, Nor do evil to his neighbor, Nor bring shame on his friend. | He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour. |
| For His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. | According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue. |

| And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. | Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high. |
| Guarding the paths of justice, And He watches over the way of His godly ones. | He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints. |
| But He knows the way I take; When He has put me to the test, I will come out as gold. My foot has held on to His path; I have kept His way and not turned aside. | But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold. My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined. |
| Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, On those who wait for His faithfulness. | Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy. |
| For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. | For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it. |
| By this we know that we remain in Him and He in us, because He has given to us of His Spirit. | Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. |
| And He summoned the crowd together with His disciples, and said to them, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.” | And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. |
