| Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, On those who hope in His mercy. | But the Lord watches over those who fear him, those who rely on his unfailing love. |
| If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless. | If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless. |
| By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. | And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us. |
| You shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, His testimonies, and His statutes which He has commanded you. | You must diligently obey the commands of the Lord your God—all the laws and decrees he has given you. |
