- And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

on those whose hope is in his unfailing love. - As a father has compassion on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him. - Praise the Lord.
Blessed are those who fear the Lord,

- The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
- Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up.
- The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
- Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.
- And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people.But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
