- And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
- This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.
- It is the Lord your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him.

- The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them.
- But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him,
on those whose hope is in his unfailing love. - As a father has compassion on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him. - Praise the Lord.
Blessed are those who fear the Lord,
who find great delight in his commands. - But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’
- The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
- Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up.
- The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
- Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.
- And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
- No one should seek their own good, but the good of others.
- Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
- Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
- Good and upright is the Lord;
therefore he instructs sinners in his ways.
He guides the humble in what is right
and teaches them his way. - Above his head they placed the written charge against him: this is jesus, the king of the jews.
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people.But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.Next verse!With image
