- I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits,
and in his word I put my hope. - Those who guard their lips preserve their lives,
but those who speak rashly will come to ruin. - Can a man walk on hot coals
without his feet being scorched? - You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.
- For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!
- Praise the Lord, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name. - “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”
- In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.
- In their hearts humans plan their course,
but the Lord establishes their steps. - He sent out his word and healed them;
he rescued them from the grave. - I will extol the Lord at all times;
his praise will always be on my lips. - The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face toward you
and give you peace. - Blessed are those who keep his statutes
and seek him with all their heart. - For the Lord takes delight in his people;
he crowns the humble with victory. - After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before.
- The Lord is slow to anger but great in power;
the Lord will not leave the guilty unpunished.
His way is in the whirlwind and the storm,
and clouds are the dust of his feet. - Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
his love endures forever. - For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. - His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
- Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise;
his greatness no one can fathom. - If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.
- The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears are attentive to their cry. - But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
- She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.
- It is the Lord your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him.
And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.Next verse!With image
