Chinese (traditional)- A wise son brings joy to his father,
but a foolish son brings grief to his mother. - I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits,
and in his word I put my hope. - You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.
- Can a man walk on hot coals
without his feet being scorched? - For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!
- In their hearts humans plan their course,
but the Lord establishes their steps. - Praise the Lord, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name. - In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.
- “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”
- He sent out his word and healed them;
he rescued them from the grave. - I will extol the Lord at all times;
his praise will always be on my lips. - The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face toward you
and give you peace. - Blessed are those who keep his statutes
and seek him with all their heart. - For the Lord takes delight in his people;
he crowns the humble with victory. - For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. - Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
his love endures forever. - Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise;
his greatness no one can fathom. - After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before.
- If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.
- The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears are attentive to their cry. - His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
- But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
- She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.
- He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.
- It is the Lord your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him.
And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval. Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will be joyful in God my Savior.Next verse!With image
