I love you (4/4)

  • The tongue can bring death or life;
those who love to talk will reap the consequences.
  • Remember, O Lord, your compassion and unfailing love,
which you have shown from long ages past.
Do not remember the rebellious sins of my youth.
Remember me in the light of your unfailing love,
for you are merciful, O Lord.
  • To learn, you must love discipline;
it is stupid to hate correction.
  • Listen, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength.
  • No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.
  • May the Lord lead your hearts into a full understanding and expression of the love of God and the patient endurance that comes from Christ.
  • For the Lord your God is living among you.
    He is a mighty savior.
He will take delight in you with gladness.
With his love, he will calm all your fears.
He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.
  • Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.
  • For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.
  • Dear brothers and sisters, we can’t help but thank God for you, because your faith is flourishing and your love for one another is growing.
  • This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.
  • Love prospers when a fault is forgiven,
but dwelling on it separates close friends.
  • I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.
  • For I command you this day to love the Lord your God and to keep his commands, decrees, and regulations by walking in his ways. If you do this, you will live and multiply, and the Lord your God will bless you and the land you are about to enter and occupy.
  • If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing.
  • You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls.
  • Let your favor shine on your servant.
In your unfailing love, rescue me.
  • And a voice from heaven said, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy.”
  • But each day the Lord pours his unfailing love upon me,
and through each night I sing his songs,
praying to God who gives me life.
  • We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters.
  • The Lord will work out his plans for my life—
for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever.
Don’t abandon me, for you made me.
  • Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands.
  • And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
  • And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
  • I want them to be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. I want them to have complete confidence that they understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ himself.
