- For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
- For a thousand years in thy sight
are but as yesterday when it is past,
and as a watch in the night. - Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
- If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
- And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.
- But our God is in the heavens:
he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased. - Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
- Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
- For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.
- Blessed are the undefiled in the way,
who walk in the law of the Lord. - I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
- For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
- Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out:
he is excellent in power, and in judgment,
and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict. - He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress:
my God; in him will I trust. - Hear my prayer, O Lord,
give ear to my supplications:
in thy faithfulness answer me,
and in thy righteousness. - And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
- And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
- God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble. - God setteth the solitary in families:
he bringeth out those which are bound with chains:
but the rebellious dwell in a dry land. - Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
- Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
- Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted: But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.
- So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
- I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait,
and in his word do I hope. - I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Since thou wast precious in my sight,
thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee:
therefore will I give men for thee,
and people for thy life. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Let not mercy and truth forsake thee:
bind them about thy neck;
write them upon the table of thine heart:
So shalt thou find favour and good understanding
in the sight of God and man.Next verse! With image
