  • God settles the solitary in a home;
    he leads out the prisoners to prosperity,
    but the rebellious dwell in a parched land.
  • So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works as God did from his.

  • And they stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him, and twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on his head and put a reed in his right hand. And kneeling before him, they mocked him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”
  • For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
  • And Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the town of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child.
  • Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.
  • As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions.
  • But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.
  • But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”
  • So you shall keep my commandments and do them: I am the Lord.

Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God!
Let your good Spirit lead me
on level ground!
