- And how much more valuable is a person than a sheep! Yes, the law permits a person to do good on the Sabbath.

The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger,
so why should I tremble? - This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”
- But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
- There is a path before each person that seems right,
but it ends in death. - So remember this and keep it firmly in mind: The Lord is God both in heaven and on earth, and there is no other.
- He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress where I will never be shaken. - Your word is a lamp to guide my feet
and a light for my path. - Our help is from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth. - You know what I long for, Lord;
you hear my every sigh. - So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless.
- The time is coming when everything that is covered up will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all.
- There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.
- God alone, who gave the law, is the Judge. He alone has the power to save or to destroy. So what right do you have to judge your neighbor?
- Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth.
- My victory and honor come from God alone.
He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me. - The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God.
- But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect.
- A person without self-control
is like a city with broken-down walls. - Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.
- Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
- Now, who will want to harm you if you are eager to do good?
- This is how we know if they have the Spirit of God: If a person claiming to be a prophet acknowledges that Jesus Christ came in a real body, that person has the Spirit of God. But if someone claims to be a prophet and does not acknowledge the truth about Jesus, that person is not from God. Such a person has the spirit of the Antichrist, which you heard is coming into the world and indeed is already here.
