Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Isaiah'
- Seek the Lord while he may be found;
call on him while he is near. - He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak. - The grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of our God endures forever. - Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. - “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord. - Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious things;
let this be known to all the world. - You will keep in perfect peace
those whose minds are steadfast,
because they trust in you. - For the Lord is our judge,
the Lord is our lawgiver,
the Lord is our king;
it is he who will save us. - Wash and make yourselves clean.
Take your evil deeds out of my sight;
stop doing wrong. - All this also comes from the Lord Almighty,
whose plan is wonderful,
whose wisdom is magnificent. - For I am the Lord your God
who takes hold of your right hand
and says to you, Do not fear;
I will help you. - Learn to do right; seek justice.
Defend the oppressed.
Take up the cause of the fatherless;
plead the case of the widow. - Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” - Yes, Lord, walking in the way of your laws,
we wait for you;
your name and renown
are the desire of our hearts. - As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts. - I, even I, am he who comforts you.
Who are you that you fear mere mortals,
human beings who are but grass. - I have swept away your offenses like a cloud,
your sins like the morning mist.
Return to me,
for I have redeemed you. - Surely he took up our pain
and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
stricken by him, and afflicted. - Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.
- Who has done this and carried it through,
calling forth the generations from the beginning?
I, the Lord—with the first of them
and with the last—I am he. - Till the Spirit is poured on us from on high,
and the desert becomes a fertile field,
and the fertile field seems like a forest. - Since you are precious and honored in my sight,
and because I love you,
I will give people in exchange for you,
nations in exchange for your life. - Even to your old age and gray hairs
I am he, I am he who will sustain you.
I have made you and I will carry you;
I will sustain you and I will rescue you. - In that day you will say:
“Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name;
make known among the nations what he has done,
and proclaim that his name is exalted.” - Lord, you are my God;
I will exalt you and praise your name,
for in perfect faithfulness
you have done wonderful things,
things planned long ago.
But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.You make known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
