- Seek ye the Lord while he may be found,
call ye upon him while he is near. - He giveth power to the faint;
and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. - The grass withereth, the flower fadeth:
but the word of our God shall stand for ever. - Arise, shine; for thy light is come,
and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. - For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,
saith the Lord. - Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace,
whose mind is stayed on thee:
because he trusteth in thee. - Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things:
this is known in all the earth. - For the Lord is our judge,
the Lord is our lawgiver,
the Lord is our king;
he will save us. - This also cometh forth from the Lord of hosts,
which is wonderful in counsel,
and excellent in working. - Wash you, make you clean;
put away the evil of your doings
from before mine eyes;
cease to do evil. - For I the Lord thy God
will hold thy right hand,
saying unto thee, Fear not;
I will help thee. - Learn to do well; seek judgment,
relieve the oppressed,
judge the fatherless,
plead for the widow. - But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.
- Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
- For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways,
and my thoughts than your thoughts. - Yea, in the way of thy judgments,
O Lord, have we waited for thee;
the desire of our soul is to thy name,
and to the remembrance of thee. - I have blotted out, as a thick cloud,
thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins:
return unto me;
for I have redeemed thee. - Surely he hath borne our griefs,
and carried our sorrows:
yet we did esteem him stricken,
smitten of God, and afflicted. - Who hath wrought and done it,
calling the generations from the beginning?
I the Lord, the first,
and with the last; I am he. - I, even I, am he that comforteth you:
who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die,
and of the son of man which shall be made as grass. - Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
- Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high,
and the wilderness be a fruitful field,
and the fruitful field be counted for a forest. - And even to your old age I am he;
and even to hoar hairs will I carry you:
I have made, and I will bear;
even I will carry, and will deliver you. - And in that day shall ye say,
Praise the Lord, call upon his name,
declare his doings among the people,
make mention that his name is exalted. - Since thou wast precious in my sight,
thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee:
therefore will I give men for thee,
and people for thy life.
O Lord, thou art my God;
I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name;
for thou hast done wonderful things;
thy counsels of old
are faithfulness and truth.But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.Next verse!With image
