This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.” Romans 1:17	In it the righteousness of God is revealed, beginning in faith and established in faith. As it is written: “The one who is righteous will live through faith.” faith righteousness salvation
But I say, do not make any vows! Do not say, ‘By heaven!’ because heaven is God’s throne. And do not say, ‘By the earth!’ because the earth is his footstool. And do not say, ‘By Jerusalem!’ for Jerusalem is the city of the great King. No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way. Fools vent their anger, but the wise quietly hold it back. Proverbs 29:11	A fool gives free rein to his anger, but a wise man bides his time and calms it. anger wisdom self-control
I have placed my rainbow in the clouds. It is the sign of my covenant with you and with all the earth. Genesis 9:13	I will place my rainbow in the clouds and it will be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth. covenant promises
Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it. Proverbs 22:6	Train a child in the way he should go, and he will not deviate from it, even in old age. righteousness family children

All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. 1 Corinthians 9:25	Everyone who seeks a prize submits himself to rigorous self-discipline in every respect. They do so to win a perishable crown, while we seek an imperishable one. self-control reward eternal life
Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.” Genesis 2:18	And the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I wish to make another creature who will be like him.” creation marriage relationships
No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently. Romans 8:25	But if we hope for what we do not yet see, then we wait for it with patience. trust hope patience
Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. Joshua 1:8	Do not let this book of the law be absent from your mouth; meditate upon it day and night, so that you might carefully observe everything that is written in it. God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.

For it is by grace that you have been saved through faith. This has not come from you but from the gift of God. It does not come from works, so that no one can boast.
