- O Lord, you have searched me and known me!
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from afar. - The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.
Day to day pours out speech,
and night to night reveals knowledge. - The vexation of a fool is known at once,
but the prudent ignores an insult. - Nothing is covered up that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known.
- So I will show my greatness and my holiness and make myself known in the eyes of many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord.
- His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence.
- Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name;
make known his deeds among the peoples! - No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known.
- And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
- To you, O God of my fathers,
I give thanks and praise,
for you have given me wisdom and might,
and have now made known to me what we asked of you,
for you have made known to us the king's matter. - And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.
- Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously;
let this be made known in all the earth. - That their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God's mystery, which is Christ.
- Make me to know your ways, O Lord;
teach me your paths. - What then shall we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin. For I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.”
- Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator.
- Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.
- If you turn at my reproof,
behold, I will pour out my spirit to you;
I will make my words known to you. - Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope.
- Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
- For you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.
- Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting! - If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you.
- Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
- You make known to me the path of life;
in your presence there is fullness of joy;
at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
