- He builds his lofty palace in the heavens
and sets its foundation on the earth;
he calls for the waters of the sea
and pours them out over the face of the land—
the Lord is his name. - The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and his angels.
- When hard pressed, I cried to the Lord;
he brought me into a spacious place. - Wash and make yourselves clean.
Take your evil deeds out of my sight;
stop doing wrong. - On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink.”
- Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
How unsearchable his judgments,
and his paths beyond tracing out! - Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
- I will walk about in freedom,
for I have sought out your precepts. - But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
though you are small among the clans of Judah,
out of you will come for me
one who will be ruler over Israel,
whose origins are from of old,
from ancient times. - The righteous person may have many troubles,
but the Lord delivers him from them all. - Be still before the Lord
and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when people succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes. - Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully.
- I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them.
- Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”
- But I have been the Lord your God
ever since you came out of Egypt.
You shall acknowledge no God but me,
no Savior except me. - Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.” That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.
- I have swept away your offenses like a cloud,
your sins like the morning mist.
Return to me,
for I have redeemed you. - Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.
- And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
- The Lord will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore. - And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
- Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.
- If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over.
- Above all else, guard your heart,
for everything you do flows from it. - Though an army besiege me,
my heart will not fear;
though war break out against me,
even then I will be confident.
To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. Walk in obedience to all that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess.Next verse!With image
