- Come now, let us argue it out,
says the Lord:
though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be like snow;
though they are red like crimson,
they shall become like wool. - For
“Those who desire life
and desire to see good days,
let them keep their tongues from evil
and their lips from speaking deceit;
let them turn away from evil and do good;
let them seek peace and pursue it.” - Pray then in this way:
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven. - Let marriage be held in honor by all, and let the marriage bed be kept undefiled; for God will judge fornicators and adulterers.
- On the last day of the festival, the great day, while Jesus was standing there, he cried out, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me.”
- Then God said, “Let us make humankind in our image, according to our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the wild animals of the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.”
- Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who has promised is faithful.
- This is the day that the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it. - For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
- Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us.
- Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
- Keep straight the path of your feet,
and all your ways will be sure. - Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable to you,
O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. - You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.
- Let us therefore make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one may fall through such disobedience as theirs.
- Those who are wise understand these things;
those who are discerning know them.
For the ways of the Lord are right,
and the upright walk in them,
but transgressors stumble in them. - But the one who did not know and did what deserved a beating will receive a light beating. From everyone to whom much has been given, much will be required; and from the one to whom much has been entrusted, even more will be demanded.
- Repent and turn from all your transgressions; otherwise iniquity will be your ruin.
- So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up.
- He answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”
- Let mutual love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it.
- Now, let the fear of the Lord be upon you; take care what you do, for there is no perversion of justice with the Lord our God, or partiality, or taking of bribes.
- You must understand this, my beloved: let everyone be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger.
- Let us therefore approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
- He said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
