Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from anything that can defile flesh or spirit, and thereby make our holiness perfect in the fear of God.Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. Let your gracious Spirit lead me along a level path.Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.
Let everyone submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which derives from God, and whatever authorities exist have been instituted by God.Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.
Let mutual love continue, and do not forget to offer hospitality to strangers, for by doing this some have entertained angels without knowing it.Let brotherly love continue. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.
Let the word of Christ with all its richness dwell in you. Teach and admonish one another in all wisdom, singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God with gratitude in your hearts.Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Now let the fear of the Lord be upon you. Be careful in your judgments, for the Lord, our God, will not tolerate the perversion of justice, or partiality, or the taking of bribes.Now therefore, let the fear of the Lord be upon you; take care and do it, for there is no iniquity with the Lord our God, no partiality, nor taking of bribes.
Do not let kindness and fidelity leave you; fasten them around your neck and inscribe them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will gain favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart, And so find favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man.
Conduct yourselves wisely toward outsiders, making the most of your opportunity. Let your speech always be gracious and seasoned with wisdom, so that you will know how to respond properly to all.Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.
Therefore, let us cease passing judgment on one another, but rather judge never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother.Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother’s way.
But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Your almsgiving must be done in secret. And your Father who sees everything that is done in secret will reward you.But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.
One person may consider one day to be more sacred than another, while another may judge all days to be alike. Let everyone be convinced in his own beliefs.One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind.
He will not permit your foot to stumble; he who guards you will not fall asleep.He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber.
Let what you heard from the beginning remain in you. If what you heard from the beginning remains in you, then you will remain in the Son and in the Father.Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father.
And let us consider how to spur one another to love and good works. Do not neglect to attend your assemblies, as some do, but rather encourage one another, especially since you can see the Day approaching.And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
Above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth, or use any oaths at all. Let your “Yes” mean “Yes” and your “No” mean “No.” Otherwise you may be condemned.But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath. But let your “Yes” be “Yes,” and your “No,” “No,” lest you fall into judgment.
Do not let anyone lead you astray. “Bad company corrupts good morals.”Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits.”
Come now and let us discuss this, says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be like snow. Though they are as red as crimson, they shall become as white as wool.“Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.”
All you need to do is to say ‘Yes’ if you mean ‘Yes’ and ‘No’ if you mean ‘No.’ Anything beyond this comes from the evil one.But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.
The one who eats everything must not look contemptuously on the one who does not, and the one who abstains must not pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed both.Let not him who eats despise him who does not eat, and let not him who does not eat judge him who eats; for God has received him.
Remember this, my beloved brethren: everyone should be quick to listen but slow to speak and slow to anger.So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.
O Lord, do not withhold your mercy from me; may your kindness and your truth keep me safe forever.Do not withhold Your tender mercies from me, O Lord; Let Your lovingkindness and Your truth continually preserve me.
No one should seek his own advantage in preference to that of his neighbor.Let no one seek his own, but each one the other’s well-being.
For we brought nothing into this world, and we can take nothing out. If we have food and clothing, let us be content with these.For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.
However, to avoid the temptation to immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband.Nevertheless, because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband.
He said to them in reply, “Anyone who has two coats must share with the person who has none, and whoever has food must do likewise.”He answered and said to them, “He who has two tunics, let him give to him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise.”

Let those who love the Lord hate evil, for he protects the souls of his faithful ones and rescues them from the hand of the wicked.You who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the souls of His saints; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.
