- The Lord will stay with you as long as you stay with him! Whenever you seek him, you will find him. But if you abandon him, he will abandon you.
- Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!
- Listen, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength.
- But you may wonder, ‘How will we know whether or not a prophecy is from the Lord?’ If the prophet speaks in the Lord’s name but his prediction does not happen or come true, you will know that the Lord did not give that message. That prophet has spoken without my authority and need not be feared.
- I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little.
- Unfailing love, O Lord, is yours.
Surely you repay all people
according to what they have done. - Give us today the food we need.
- O Israel, my faithless people,
come home to me again,
for I am merciful.
I will not be angry with you forever. - Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord.
Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly. - I know the Lord is always with me.
I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me. - Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours, O Lord, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as the one who is over all things.
- If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.
- The Lord your God will bless you as he has promised. You will lend money to many nations but will never need to borrow. You will rule many nations, but they will not rule over you.

Have you never understood?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of all the earth.
He never grows weak or weary.
No one can measure the depths of his understanding. - Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon.
- Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
- Teach me your ways, O Lord,
that I may live according to your truth!
Grant me purity of heart,
so that I may honor you. - From the depths of despair, O Lord,
I call for your help.
Hear my cry, O Lord.
Pay attention to my prayer. - O Lord, if you heal me, I will be truly healed;
if you save me, I will be truly saved.
My praises are for you alone! - A friend is always loyal,
and a brother is born to help in time of need. - I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners and need to repent.
- Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.
- First, help me never to tell a lie.
Second, give me neither poverty nor riches!
Give me just enough to satisfy my needs. - But in that coming day
no weapon turned against you will succeed.
You will silence every voice
raised up to accuse you.
These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord;
their vindication will come from me.
I, the Lord, have spoken! - Stop deceiving yourselves. If you think you are wise by this world’s standards, you need to become a fool to be truly wise.
