- With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful;
with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright. - And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
- Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop:
but a good word maketh it glad. - Can one go upon hot coals,
and his feet not be burned? - A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly:
and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. - One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
- Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
- Blessed is the man
that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor standeth in the way of sinners,
nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. - And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
- Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him.
- And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.
- The rich man's wealth is his strong city,
and as an high wall in his own conceit. - For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
- He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good;
and what doth the Lord require of thee,
but to do justly, and to love mercy,
and to walk humbly with thy God? - Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.
- Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
- Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him:
fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way,
because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. - The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious;
but the lips of a fool will swallow up himself. - It is a snare to the man who devoureth that which is holy,
and after vows to make enquiry. - Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy:
for thou renderest to every man
according to his work. - Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
- Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man.
- A man's gift maketh room for him,
and bringeth him before great men. - So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
- And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.Next verse!With image
