May (2/4)

  • The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
  • Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.
  • Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in all ways. The Lord be with all of you.
  • Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.
  • Let us therefore approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
  • But those who do what is true come to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that their deeds have been done in God.
  • I made your name known to them, and I will make it known, so that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.
  • Put on the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
  • Do not judge, so that you may not be judged.
  • And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, just as we abound in love for you.
  • Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective.
  • I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you come to know him.
  • What then are we to say? Should we continue in sin in order that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin go on living in it?
  • May the God of steadfastness and encouragement grant you to live in harmony with one another, in accordance with Christ Jesus.
  • And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he is revealed we may have confidence and not be put to shame before him at his coming.
  • Let no evil talk come out of your mouths, but only what is useful for building up, as there is need, so that your words may give grace to those who hear.
  • Be on your guard, so that you do not lose what we have worked for, but may receive a full reward.
  • Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.
  • I have said this to you, so that in me you may have peace. In the world you face persecution. But take courage; I have conquered the world!
  • So that, with the eyes of your heart enlightened, you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance among the saints.
  • May God continue to bless us;
let all the ends of the earth revere him.
  • I the Lord am your God; follow my statutes, and be careful to observe my ordinances, and hallow my sabbaths that they may be a sign between me and you, so that you may know that I the Lord am your God.
  • I am coming soon; hold fast to what you have, so that no one may seize your crown.
  • Do not deceive yourselves. If you think that you are wise in this age, you should become fools so that you may become wise.
  • Therefore take up the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to withstand on that evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.

Now may the God of peace, who brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, make you complete in everything good so that you may do his will, working among us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
