Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Mere'
- In all labour there is profit:
but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury. - I, even I, am he that comforteth you:
who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die,
and of the son of man which shall be made as grass. - The Lord is on my side; I will not fear:
what can man do unto me? - In God I will praise his word,
in God I have put my trust;
I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. - So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
- What is man, that thou art mindful of him?
and the son of man, that thou visitest him? - But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
- How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
- Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
- Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
- My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
- By the word of the Lord were the heavens made;
and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. - With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful;
with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright. - But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
- The Lord is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. - Nevertheless for thy great mercies' sake thou didst not utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for thou art a gracious and merciful God.
- Make thy face to shine upon thy servant:
save me for thy mercies' sake. - Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
- For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
- For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.
- Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O Lord:
let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me. - A merry heart doeth good like a medicine:
but a broken spirit drieth the bones. - Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering.
- And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
- Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the Lord;
and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you:
for I am merciful, saith the Lord,
and I will not keep anger for ever.
Have mercy upon me, O God,
according to thy lovingkindness:
according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies
blot out my transgressions.
Wash me throughly from mine iniquity,
and cleanse me from my sin.With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love. It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed,
because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning:
great is thy faithfulness.Next verse!With image
