- This water prefigured Baptism, which now saves you. It does so not by the washing away of dirt from the body but by the pledge of a good conscience given to God through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
- And every tongue should proclaim
to the glory of God the Father:
Jesus Christ is Lord. - God abides in anyone who acknowledges
that Jesus is the Son of God,
and that person abides in God. - Above his head was inscribed the charge against him: “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.”

but the mouth of the wicked knows only how to pervert.
