- O Lord, you are my God;
I will exalt you, I will praise your name;
for you have done wonderful things,
plans formed of old, faithful and sure. - Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my thoughts.
See if there is any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting. - O come, let us worship and bow down,
let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! - O taste and see that the Lord is good;
happy are those who take refuge in him. - Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
my help and my God. - Therefore you are great, O Lord God; for there is no one like you, and there is no God besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer,
my God, my rock in whom I take refuge,
my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. - O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
for his steadfast love endures forever. - Therefore you have no excuse, whoever you are, when you judge others; for in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, are doing the very same things.
- But you, O Bethlehem of Ephrathah,
who are one of the little clans of Judah,
from you shall come forth for me
one who is to rule in Israel,
whose origin is from of old,
from ancient days. - O the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!
- I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart;
I will tell of all your wonderful deeds. - For God alone my soul waits in silence,
for my hope is from him. - O how abundant is your goodness
that you have laid up for those who fear you,
and accomplished for those who take refuge in you,
in the sight of everyone! - Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us,
and prosper for us the work of our hands—
O prosper the work of our hands! - But as for you, man of God, shun all this; pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, gentleness.
- I will extol you, my God and King,
and bless your name forever and ever. - It is you who light my lamp;
the Lord, my God, lights up my darkness. - I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
I have no good apart from you.” - Deliverance belongs to the Lord;
may your blessing be on your people! Selah - So now, O Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? Only to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments of the Lord your God and his decrees that I am commanding you today, for your own well-being.
- Hear, my child, and accept my words,
that the years of your life may be many. - Those of steadfast mind you keep in peace—
in peace because they trust in you. - With my whole heart I seek you;
do not let me stray from your commandments.
