On (3/4)

  • Out of my distress I called on the Lord;
    the Lord answered me and set me free.
  • Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil.
  • Know therefore today, and lay it to your heart, that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other.
  • I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak.
  • Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.
  • Whoever heeds instruction is on the path to life,
    but he who rejects reproof leads others astray.
  • Pray then like this:
    “Our Father in heaven,
    hallowed be your name.
    Your kingdom come,
    your will be done,
    on earth as it is in heaven.”
  • Teach me to do your will,
    for you are my God!
    Let your good Spirit lead me
    on level ground!
  • I cried to him with my mouth,
    and high praise was on my tongue.
  • He will again have compassion on us;
    he will tread our iniquities underfoot.
    You will cast all our sins
    into the depths of the sea.
  • As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy.
  • Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one.
  • I myself did not know him, but he who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘He on whom you see the Spirit descend and remain, this is he who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’
  • For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
  • Cast your burden on the Lord,
    and he will sustain you;
    he will never permit
    the righteous to be moved.
  • And Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he recovered his sight and followed him on the way.
  • Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
    and do not lean on your own understanding.
    In all your ways acknowledge him,
    and he will make straight your paths.
  • “For the mountains may depart
    and the hills be removed,
    but my steadfast love shall not depart from you,
    and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,”
    says the Lord, who has compassion on you.
  • And the Lord will be king over all the earth. On that day the Lord will be one and his name one.
  • God, the Lord, is my strength;
    he makes my feet like the deer's;
    he makes me tread on my high places.
  • And he declared to you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, that is, the Ten Commandments, and he wrote them on two tablets of stone.
  • He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
  • So he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights. He neither ate bread nor drank water. And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments.
  • And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
  • Wait for the Lord;
    be strong, and let your heart take courage;
    wait for the Lord!

As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so whoever feeds on me, he also will live because of me.

so the heart of man reflects the man.
