- For the Lord is our judge,
the Lord is our lawgiver.
The Lord is our king;
he is the one who will save us. - And forgive us our debts
as we forgive our debtors. - May the favor of the Lord, our God, rest upon us.
And may the work of our hands prosper—
indeed, may the work of our hands prosper. - Give us this day our daily bread.
- May the Lord, our God, be with us, just as he was with our fathers; may he not leave us or abandon us.
- Therefore, we fasted and prayed to God to grant us a safe journey, and he answered our prayer.
- God is our refuge and our strength,
a well-proved help in times of trouble. - Help us, O God, our Savior,
for the glory of your name;
deliver us and wipe away our sins
for your name’s sake. - Blessed be the Lord, day after day,
the God of our salvation, who carries our burden. Selah - Our God is in heaven;
he does whatever he pleases. - Teach us to comprehend how few our days are
so that our hearts may be filled with wisdom. - However, if we confess our sins,
he who is faithful and just
will forgive our sins
and cleanse us from all wrongdoing. - It was for this purpose that he called you through our gospel so that you might come to share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Although it was our afflictions that he bore,
our sufferings that he endured,
we thought of him as stricken,
as struck down by God and afflicted. - To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.
- But he was pierced for our offenses
and crushed for our iniquity;
the punishment that made us whole fell upon him,
and by his bruises we have been healed. - Our help is in the name of the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth. - Indeed, who is God except the Lord?
Who is the Rock besides our God? - Let us examine and test our ways
and return to the Lord. - For who is God except the Lord?
Who is a rock aside from our God? - You will again show us compassion
and wash away our guilt;
you will cast all our sins
into the depths of the sea. - Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
- He is himself the sacrifice for our sins—
and not only for our sins
but also for the sins of the whole world. - Therefore, we do not lose heart. Even though our outer self is continuing to decay, our inner self is being renewed day by day.
- But our citizenship is in heaven, and from there we await our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Come forth! Let us bow down to worship him;
let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker.Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Indeed, the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any two-edged sword, it pierces to the point where it divides soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and the intentions of the heart.Next verse!With image
