and by his bruises we have been healed. - Although it was our afflictions that he bore,
our sufferings that he endured,
we thought of him as stricken,
as struck down by God and afflicted. - To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.

- But our citizenship is in heaven, and from there we await our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

but also for the sins of the whole world. - Come forth! Let us bow down to worship him;
let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker. - The Spirit himself bears witness with our Spirit that we are children of God.
- The grass may wither and the flower may fade,
but the word of our God will endure forever. - Some trust in chariots, and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Lord, our God. - The people said to Joshua, “We will serve the Lord, our God, and obey his voice.”
- This is how we know what love is:
he laid down his life for us,
and we in turn must be prepared
to lay down our lives for our brethren. - But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- As far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us. - The Lord commanded us to observe all of these statutes and to fear the Lord, our God, so that we might always prosper and be kept alive, even as we are today.
- If we are diligent in observing all of these commandments before the Lord, our God, as he commanded of us, then this will be our righteousness.
- There is no holy one like the Lord,
there is none beside you,
nor is there a rock like our God. - For the wages of sin is death, but the gift freely given by God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

conquers the world.
And the victory that conquers the world
is our faith. - Prepare in advance what you want to say,
and return to the Lord.
Say to him, “Take away all guilt
and give us what is good,
so that we may present as offerings
the bullocks from our stalls.” - Let us remain firm in the confession of our hope without wavering, for the one who made the promise is trustworthy.
- As we proceed in the path of your judgments,
we wait for you, O Lord;
your name and your renown
are all that our heart desires. - Rather, grow in the grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
To him be glory both now and for all eternity. Amen. - For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so too, through Christ, do we receive our consolation.
- Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercy and the God of all consolation. He consoles us in all our afflictions and thereby enables us to console others in their tribulations, offering them the consolation with which we ourselves are consoled by God.
- For ‘In him we live and move and have our being.’ As even your own poets have said, ‘We are all his offspring.’
