- For who is God besides the Lord?
And who is the Rock except our God? - I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits,
and in his word I put my hope. - May God bless us still,
so that all the ends of the earth will fear him. - It is better to take refuge in the Lord
than to trust in humans. - Before a word is on my tongue
you, Lord, know it completely. - From the Lord comes deliverance.
May your blessing be on your people. - Be strong and take heart,
all you who hope in the Lord. - Teach us to number our days,
that we may gain a heart of wisdom. - The Lord is righteous in all his ways
and faithful in all he does. - May your unfailing love be with us, Lord,
even as we put our hope in you. - The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me? - When I said, “My foot is slipping,”
your unfailing love, Lord, supported me. - The Lord makes firm the steps
of the one who delights in him. - You, Lord, keep my lamp burning;
my God turns my darkness into light. - Let your face shine on your servant;
save me in your unfailing love. - Praise the Lord, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name. - I rejoice in following your statutes
as one rejoices in great riches. - As the deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, my God. - When anxiety was great within me,
your consolation brought me joy. - May he give you the desire of your heart
and make all your plans succeed. - All my longings lie open before you, Lord;
my sighing is not hidden from you. - Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me. - I sought the Lord, and he answered me;
he delivered me from all my fears. - I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you. - For he satisfies the thirsty
and fills the hungry with good things.
Blessed is the one
whose transgressions are forgiven,
whose sins are covered.When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not bring on them the destruction he had threatened.
