For what human being knows what is truly human except the human spirit that is within? So also no one comprehends what is truly God's except the Spirit of God.For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

Do not adorn yourselves outwardly by braiding your hair, and by wearing gold ornaments or fine clothing; rather, let your adornment be the inner self with the lasting beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in God's sight.Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
But if the wicked turn away from all their sins that they have committed and keep all my statutes and do what is lawful and right, they shall surely live; they shall not die.But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord rescues them from them all. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.
You must understand this, my beloved: let everyone be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger.Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.
Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

Blessed is anyone who endures temptation. Such a one has stood the test and will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
He is the reflection of God's glory and the exact imprint of God's very being, and he sustains all things by his powerful word. When he had made purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.
For just as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
If any think they are religious, and do not bridle their tongues but deceive their hearts, their religion is worthless. If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
For all of us make many mistakes. Anyone who makes no mistakes in speaking is perfect, able to keep the whole body in check with a bridle. For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
For if the eagerness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has—not according to what one does not have. For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.
But the one who did not know and did what deserved a beating will receive a light beating. From everyone to whom much has been given, much will be required; and from the one to whom much has been entrusted, even more will be demanded. But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. How does God's love abide in anyone who has the world's goods and sees a brother or sister in need and yet refuses help? But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
