be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!” - Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
- Better is the little that the righteous has
than the abundance of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
but the Lord upholds the righteous. - Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
- Keep steady my steps according to your promise,
and let no iniquity get dominion over me. - There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.
- For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.
- Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you.
- My times are in your hand;
rescue me from the hand of my enemies
and from my persecutors! - The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.
- For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.
- O you who love the Lord, hate evil!
He preserves the lives of his saints;
he delivers them from the hand of the wicked. - Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.
- Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.
