- For who is God besides the Lord?
And who is the Rock except our God? - The Lord is good,
a refuge in times of trouble.
He cares for those who trust in him. - The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
- Learn to do right; seek justice.
Defend the oppressed.
Take up the cause of the fatherless;
plead the case of the widow. - The Lord will rescue his servants;
no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned. - Do not withhold your mercy from me, Lord;
may your love and faithfulness always protect me. - For he guards the course of the just
and protects the way of his faithful ones. - Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will never be shaken. - The prudent see danger and take refuge,
but the simple keep going and pay the penalty. - ‘Never again will they hunger;
never again will they thirst.
The sun will not beat down on them,’
nor any scorching heat.
For the Lamb at the center of the throne
will be their shepherd;
‘he will lead them to springs of living water.’
‘And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’ - In you, Lord, I have taken refuge;
let me never be put to shame;
deliver me in your righteousness. - Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
- The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed,
a stronghold in times of trouble. - If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.
- He holds success in store for the upright,
he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless. - Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
- How abundant are the good things
that you have stored up for those who fear you,
that you bestow in the sight of all,
on those who take refuge in you. - And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one. - I love you, Lord, my strength.
The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;
my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge,
my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. - Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. - Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous;
you surround them with your favor as with a shield. - But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.
- My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.
- The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.” Then Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.
- The Lord watches over the foreigner
and sustains the fatherless and the widow,
but he frustrates the ways of the wicked.
You, Lord, keep my lamp burning;
my God turns my darkness into light.Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.Next verse!With image
