And God will wipe every tear from their eyes. - A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions.
The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences. - Lord, don’t hold back your tender mercies from me.
Let your unfailing love and faithfulness always protect me. - Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.

Perhaps even yet the Lord will protect you—
protect you from his anger on that day of destruction.
