- I will love thee, O Lord, my strength.
The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;
my God, my strength, in whom I will trust;
my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. - In my distress I called upon the Lord,
and cried unto my God:
he heard my voice out of his temple,
and my cry came before him, even into his ears. - With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful;
with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright. - For thou wilt light my candle:
the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness. - As for God, his way is perfect:
the word of the Lord is tried:
he is a buckler to all those that trust in him. - For who is God save the Lord?
or who is a rock save our God? - Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation:
and thy right hand hath holden me up,
and thy gentleness hath made me great.
Thou hast enlarged my steps under me,
that my feet did not slip. - The heavens declare the glory of God;
and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
Day unto day uttereth speech,
and night unto night sheweth knowledge. - The law of the Lord is perfect,
converting the soul:
the testimony of the Lord is sure,
making wise the simple. - The statutes of the Lord are right,
rejoicing the heart:
the commandment of the Lord is pure,
enlightening the eyes. - Let the words of my mouth,
and the meditation of my heart,
be acceptable in thy sight,
O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer. - Grant thee according to thine own heart,
and fulfil all thy counsel. - Some trust in chariots, and some in horses:
but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.
And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you. Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.Next verse!With image
