- We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.
- The human mind may devise many plans,
but it is the purpose of the Lord that will be established. - Who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works but according to his own purpose and grace. This grace was given to us in Christ Jesus before the ages began.
- Each of us must please our neighbor for the good purpose of building up the neighbor.
- So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth;
it shall not return to me empty,
but it shall accomplish that which I purpose,
and succeed in the thing for which I sent it. - Everyone who commits sin is a child of the devil; for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The Son of God was revealed for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.
- For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.
- Welcome those who are weak in faith, but not for the purpose of quarreling over opinions.
- The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me;
your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever.
Do not forsake the work of your hands. - For this purpose he called you through our proclamation of the good news, so that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Now I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you be in agreement and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same purpose.
- In fulfillment of his own purpose he gave us birth by the word of truth, so that we would become a kind of first fruits of his creatures.
- The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
- May he grant you your heart's desire,
and fulfill all your plans. - I do not nullify the grace of God; for if justification comes through the law, then Christ died for nothing.
- For Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.
- For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not one letter, not one stroke of a letter, will pass from the law until all is accomplished.
- Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets; I have come not to abolish but to fulfill.
- Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
- For they said to you, “In the last time there will be scoffers, indulging their own ungodly lusts.” It is these worldly people, devoid of the Spirit, who are causing divisions.
- Without counsel, plans go wrong,
but with many advisers they succeed.
But in your hearts sanctify Christ as Lord. Always be ready to make your defense to anyone who demands from you an accounting for the hope that is in you.
