Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Purpose'
- And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
- Many are the plans in a person’s heart,
but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. - He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.
- So is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. - There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens. - The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.
- Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up.
- The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
- The Lord will vindicate me;
your love, Lord, endures forever—
do not abandon the works of your hands. - I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.
- He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
- May he give you the desire of your heart
and make all your plans succeed. - Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters.
- The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray.
- I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!
- Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.
- He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.
- To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.
- For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
- Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
- Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.
- Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin.
- They said to you, “In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires.” These are the people who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit.
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.” Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.Next verse!With image
