- Rise up, O Lord; O God, lift up your hand;
do not forget the oppressed. - Though an army encamp against me,
my heart shall not fear;
though war rise up against me,
yet I will be confident. - O Lord, you have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from far away. - Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you;
therefore he will rise up to show mercy to you.
For the Lord is a God of justice;
blessed are all those who wait for him. - Then the other disciple, who reached the tomb first, also went in, and he saw and believed; for as yet they did not understand the scripture, that he must rise from the dead.

and binds up their wounds. - Then he led them out as far as Bethany, and, lifting up his hands, he blessed them. While he was blessing them, he withdrew from them and was carried up into heaven.

but a harsh word stirs up anger. - When I thought, “My foot is slipping,”
your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up. - For if they fall, one will lift up the other; but woe to one who is alone and falls and does not have another to help.
- See, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death; then they will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified; and on the third day he will be raised.
- A person's pride will bring humiliation,
but one who is lowly in spirit will obtain honor. - Each of us must please our neighbor for the good purpose of building up the neighbor.
- When he had said this, as they were watching, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight.
- When Jesus had received the wine, he said, “It is finished.” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
- Then he said to them all, “If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”
- The vine withers,
the fig tree droops.
Pomegranate, palm, and apple—
all the trees of the field are dried up;
surely, joy withers away
among the people. - So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
