- By day the Lord commands his steadfast love,
and at night his song is with me,
a prayer to the God of my life. - For the Son of Man came to seek out and to save the lost.
- The Lord is my strength and my shield;
in him my heart trusts;
so I am helped, and my heart exults,
and with my song I give thanks to him. - Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God.

Father of orphans and protector of widows
is God in his holy habitation. - God's love was revealed among us in this way: God sent his only Son into the world so that we might live through him.
- He who did not withhold his own Son, but gave him up for all of us, will he not with him also give us everything else?
- Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude you, revile you, and defame you on account of the Son of Man.
- In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
- He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
- I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.
