Chinese (traditional)- When I kept silence, my bones waxed old
through my roaring all the day long. - Excellent speech becometh not a fool:
much less do lying lips a prince. - And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
- For there is not a word in my tongue,
but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether. - Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
- But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine.
- The tongue of the just is as choice silver:
the heart of the wicked is little worth. - For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
- Blessings are upon the head of the just:
but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked. - But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.
- In my distress I called upon the Lord,
and cried unto my God:
he heard my voice out of his temple,
and my cry came before him, even into his ears. - If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath,
from doing thy pleasure on my holy day;
and call the sabbath a delight,
the holy of the Lord, honourable;
and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways,
nor finding thine own pleasure,
nor speaking thine own words:
Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord;
and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth,
and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father:
for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it. - I will bless the Lord at all times:
his praise shall continually be in my mouth. - For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
- Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips;
I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. - But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.
- And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
- And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
- And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
- Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
- If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
- But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
- Lying lips are abomination to the Lord:
but they that deal truly are his delight. - And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
- And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
And in that day shall ye say,
Praise the Lord, call upon his name,
declare his doings among the people,
make mention that his name is exalted.A fool despiseth his father's instruction:
but he that regardeth reproof is prudent. But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole.Next verse!With image
