- That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
- Without counsel purposes are disappointed:
but in the multitude of counsellors they are established. - Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
- Pleasant words are as an honeycomb,
sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. - O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name:
make known his deeds among the people. - Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
- So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth:
it shall not return unto me void,
but it shall accomplish that which I please,
and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. - Let the words of my mouth,
and the meditation of my heart,
be acceptable in thy sight,
O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer. - A fool hath no delight in understanding,
but that his heart may discover itself. - Deliver my soul, O Lord,
from lying lips,
and from a deceitful tongue. - An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour:
but through knowledge shall the just be delivered. - While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
- A fool's lips enter into contention,
and his mouth calleth for strokes. - In all labour there is profit:
but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury. - Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop:
but a good word maketh it glad. - And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
- The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable:
but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness. - If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
- But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
- It is an honour for a man to cease from strife:
but every fool will be meddling. - Put away from thee a froward mouth,
and perverse lips put far from thee. - By the word of the Lord were the heavens made;
and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. - He that hideth hatred with lying lips,
and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool. - For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.
- Open thy mouth, judge righteously,
and plead the cause of the poor and needy.
Excellent speech becometh not a fool:
much less do lying lips a prince.Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
he is the King of glory. Selah. The Lord bless thee, and keep thee:
The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.Next verse! With image
