- Wash and make yourselves clean.
Take your evil deeds out of my sight;
stop doing wrong. - Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God—I say this to your shame.

Does the clay say to the potter,
‘What are you making?’
Does your work say,
‘The potter has no hands’? - But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in him.
They will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit. - Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, instruction about cleansing rites, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.
- Then I acknowledged my sin to you
and did not cover up my iniquity.
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.”
And you forgave the guilt of my sin.
