Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Surely'
- Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
forever. - Surely he has borne our griefs
and carried our sorrows;
yet we esteemed him stricken,
smitten by God, and afflicted. - He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
- But if a wicked person turns away from all his sins that he has committed and keeps all my statutes and does what is just and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die.
- For the Lord God does nothing
without revealing his secret
to his servants the prophets. - He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.
- Behold, God is my helper;
the Lord is the upholder of my life. - For the righteous will never be moved;
he will be remembered forever. - You shall not mistreat any widow or fatherless child. If you do mistreat them, and they cry out to me, I will surely hear their cry, and my wrath will burn, and I will kill you with the sword, and your wives shall become widows and your children fatherless.
- Whoever walks in integrity walks securely,
but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out. - The vine dries up;
the fig tree languishes.
Pomegranate, palm, and apple,
all the trees of the field are dried up,
and gladness dries up
from the children of man. - For it is written, “As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me,
and every tongue shall confess to God.” - Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
- For you bless the righteous, O Lord;
you cover him with favor as with a shield. - And that to you, O Lord, belongs steadfast love.
For you will render to a man
according to his work. - If you turn at my reproof,
behold, I will pour out my spirit to you;
I will make my words known to you. - From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.
- When your eyes light on it, it is gone,
for suddenly it sprouts wings,
flying like an eagle toward heaven. - Can anyone withhold water for baptizing these people, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?
- You shall not hate your brother in your heart, but you shall reason frankly with your neighbor, lest you incur sin because of him. You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against the sons of your own people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord.
- For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
- Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.
- For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.
- In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider: God has made the one as well as the other, so that man may not find out anything that will be after him.
- Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?
But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man's trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many.Whoever is slow to anger is better than the mighty,
and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.
