- Let me hear of your steadfast love in the morning,
for in you I put my trust.
Teach me the way I should go,
for to you I lift up my soul. - For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel:
Seek me and live. - You call me Teacher and Lord—and you are right, for that is what I am.
- Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I fear no evil;
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff—
they comfort me. - The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because he has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to let the oppressed go free. - If the world hates you, be aware that it hated me before it hated you.
- For whoever finds me finds life
and obtains favor from the Lord. - Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me.
- Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood abide in me, and I in them.
- When I thought, “My foot is slipping,”
your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up. - Let your face shine upon your servant;
save me in your steadfast love. - The spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
because the Lord has anointed me;
he has sent me to bring good news to the oppressed,
to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and release to the prisoners. - And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fish for people.”
- Then Jesus answered them, “My teaching is not mine but his who sent me.”
- With my whole heart I seek you;
do not let me stray from your commandments. - See, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh; is anything too hard for me?
- Then he said to them all, “If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”
- I was ready to be sought out by those who did not ask,
to be found by those who did not seek me.
I said, “Here I am, here I am,”
to a nation that did not call on my name. - They who have my commandments and keep them are those who love me; and those who love me will be loved by my Father, and I will love them and reveal myself to them.
- But you, O Lord, are a shield around me,
my glory, and the one who lifts up my head. - I will never forget your precepts,
for by them you have given me life. - Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
- I will both lie down and sleep in peace;
for you alone, O Lord, make me lie down in safety. - Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
- I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. From now on there is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.”Be exalted, O God, above the heavens.
Let your glory be over all the earth. Keep your lives free from the love of money, and be content with what you have; for he has said, “I will never leave you or forsake you.”Next verse!With image
