Chinese (traditional)- To do justice and judgment
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. - And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.
- He giveth power to the faint;
and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. - It is a snare to the man who devoureth that which is holy,
and after vows to make enquiry. - He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good;
and what doth the Lord require of thee,
but to do justly, and to love mercy,
and to walk humbly with thy God? - Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.
- And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
- Withhold not good from them to whom it is due,
when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. - For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.
- Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy:
for thou renderest to every man
according to his work. - But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
- The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him,
to all that call upon him in truth. - The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished.
- And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
- Is not this the fast that I have chosen?
to loose the bands of wickedness,
to undo the heavy burdens,
and to let the oppressed go free,
and that ye break every yoke? - Labour not to be rich:
cease from thine own wisdom. - But the mercy of the Lord is
from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him,
and his righteousness unto children's children;
To such as keep his covenant,
and to those that remember his commandments to do them. - I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
- Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
- From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
- Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
- For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
- Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
- The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
- For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake.
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.Next verse!With image
