| The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry. | Yahweh’s eyes are toward the righteous. His ears listen to their cry. |
| But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. | But the end of all things is near. Therefore be of sound mind, self-controlled, and sober in prayer. |
| The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple. | The entrance of your words gives light. It gives understanding to the simple. |
| Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. | Every word of God is flawless. He is a shield to those who take refuge in him. |
| O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever. | Oh give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever. |
| That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed. | That I may come to you in joy through the will of God, and together with you, find rest. |
| Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth. | Sing to Yahweh, for he has done excellent things! Let this be known in all the earth! |
| O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. | Give thanks to Yahweh! Call on his name! Make his doings known among the peoples. |
| The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. | Yahweh is near to all those who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. |
| And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. | He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to the whole creation.” |
| Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. | Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” |
| Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. | Moreover when you fast, don’t be like the hypocrites, with sad faces. For they disfigure their faces that they may be seen by men to be fasting. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward. |
| The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace. | Yahweh will give strength to his people. Yahweh will bless his people with peace. |
| Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold. | You shall most certainly not make gods of silver or gods of gold for yourselves to be alongside me. |
| Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them. | Yahweh God made garments of animal skins for Adam and for his wife, and clothed them. |
| Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. | Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
