Each of us must consider his neighbor’s good for the purpose of building him up.Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.
After he said this, he was lifted up as they looked on, and a cloud took him from their sight.And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
When Jesus had taken the wine, he said, “It is finished.” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
Then he said to all who were with him, “Anyone who wishes to follow me must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me.”And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
The vine has withered; the fig tree droops. The pomegranate, the palm, and the apple tree— all the trees of the field have dried up. And the joy of the people has also withered away.The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men.
Then, after he had spoken to them, the Lord Jesus was taken up into heaven, and there he took his place at the right hand of God.So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
A cheerful heart is excellent medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.
When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you, to bless you by turning each one of you from your wicked ways.Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
I lift up my eyes to the mountains; from where will I receive help? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
He did not spare his own Son but gave him up for all of us. How then can he fail also to give us everything else along with him?He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
A gentle reply turns away wrath, but a harsh word arouses anger.A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
Taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and blessed and broke them and gave them to the disciples to distribute among the people. They all ate and were satisfied. Then they gathered up what was left over—twelve baskets of fragments.Then he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and brake, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude. And they did eat, and were all filled: and there was taken up of fragments that remained to them twelve baskets.
Do not store up treasures for yourselves on earth, where they will be destroyed by moth and rust and where thieves break in and steal. Rather, store up treasure for yourselves in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves cannot break in and steal.Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.
Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
Let us never grow weary in doing what is right, for if we do not give up, we will reap our harvest in due time.And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
And anyone who does not take up his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
He then called the people and his disciples to him and said to them, “Anyone who wishes to follow me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.”And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
And opens the eyes of those who cannot see. The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous.The Lord openeth the eyes of the blind: the Lord raiseth them that are bowed down: the Lord loveth the righteous.
How great is your goodness, O Lord, which you have stored up for those who fear you and which you bestow on those who take refuge in you, in the presence of all the people.Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!

While he was departing as they gazed upward toward the sky, suddenly two men dressed in white robes stood beside them, and they said, “Men of Galilee, why are you standing there looking up into the sky? This Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven will come back in the same way as you have seen him going into heaven.”And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
