Bible Verses about 'War'

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh. For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.
Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident.
Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God.
When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he hath taken. If a man has recently married, he must not be sent to war or have any other duty laid on him. For one year he is to be free to stay at home and bring happiness to the wife he has married.
He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.Better a patient person than a warrior, one with self-control than one who takes a city.
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing. The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.
And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you.May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you.
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.
Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds!
A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.Fools give full vent to their rage, but the wise bring calm in the end.
If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.“If you do not listen, and if you do not resolve to honor my name,” says the Lord Almighty, “I will send a curse on you, and I will curse your blessings. Yes, I have already cursed them, because you have not resolved to honor me.”
For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness. The lips of the righteous know what finds favor, but the mouth of the wicked only what is perverse.
A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends.A perverse person stirs up conflict, and a gossip separates close friends.
Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.Keep your mouth free of perversity; keep corrupt talk far from your lips.
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.
Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor.
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters. Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.
The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.To fear the Lord is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech.
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.
The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward.A wicked person earns deceptive wages, but the one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.
Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully.

And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done.
