  • Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

    or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world,
    even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

  • For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

  • For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
  • For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
  • Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not enquire wisely concerning this.
  • God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
  • And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
  • And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
  • But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved).

When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
