Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming.Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.

Now go and learn what this means: ‘I desire compassion, rather than sacrifice,’ for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.Go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.’ For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.
When good things increase, those who consume them increase. So what is the advantage to their owners except to look at them?When goods increase, they increase who eat them, and what advantage has their owner but to see them with his eyes?
What is desirable in a person is his kindness, And it is better to be a poor person than a liar.What is desired in a man is steadfast love, and a poor man is better than a liar.
What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? Far from it! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?
Only fear the Lord and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you.Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart. For consider what great things he has done for you.

When you make a vow to God, do not be late in paying it; for He takes no delight in fools. Pay what you vow!When you vow a vow to God, do not delay paying it, for he has no pleasure in fools. Pay what you vow.
Woe to the one who quarrels with his Maker— A piece of pottery among the other earthenware pottery pieces! Will the clay say to the potter, ‘What are you doing?’ Or the thing you are making say, ‘He has no hands’?Woe to him who strives with him who formed him, a pot among earthen pots! Does the clay say to him who forms it, ‘What are you making?’ or ‘Your work has no handles’?
Give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back.Give to everyone who begs from you, and from one who takes away your goods do not demand them back.
But one who has looked intently at the perfect law, the law of freedom, and has continued in it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an active doer, this person will be blessed in what he does.But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.
See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek what is good for one another and for all people.See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone.
To whom God willed to make known what the wealth of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles is, the mystery that is Christ in you, the hope of glory.To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
The good person out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil person out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart.The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.As we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. And everyone who has this hope set on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.
