Let your love be sincere. Loathe what is evil and hold fast to what is good. | Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. |
The Lord has told you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? Only this: to do what is right, to show mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. | He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? |
What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his very life? Or what can he give in exchange for his life? | For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul? |

Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? |
What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his very life? | For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul? |
Do not be concerned about your life and what you will have to eat, or about your body and what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. | Do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. |
Do not associate with unbelievers. For what basis can there be for a partnership between righteousness and lawlessness? What do light and darkness have in common? | Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? |
Abba, Father, for you all things are possible. Take this cup from me. Yet not my will but yours be done. | Abba, Father, all things are possible for you. Remove this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will. |
